New Red Order

New Red Order (NRO) is a “public secret society” collaborating with self-described “informants,” to subversively yet earnestly interrogate desires—individual and collective—for indigeneity. The group deploys elements of time-based media including video and sound, along with sculpture, installation, and performance in order to shift potential obstructions to indigenous growth. Core contributors are Adam Khalil (Ojibway), Zack Khalil (Ojibway), and Jackson Polys (Tlingit). Their individual and collaborative work has been presented at the Museum of Modern Art, Sundance Film Festival, Toronto Biennial of Art 2019, Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Walker Art Center, and Whitney Biennial 2019.
